For the elderly, especially those that live alone or in group facilities, pets can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, increase social interaction and physical activity and help them learn. Research shows that pets can also play a large role in reducing depression and lessen loneliness.
We promote an active lifestyle for our residents and guests. We have an Activities Coordinator who ensures that our residents are stimulated with varied group activities. Recently, we had a visit from some extremely attentive and loving dogs from PAT Dogs and Cats. As you can see, our residents were particularly taken with them!
