St Georges Nursing Home, in Weston-Super-Mare, is an exciting new purpose built care home for residents with all stages of dementia.
St Georges Nursing Home has been designed with residents in mind and is completely unique with such features as a central and safe sensory garden with a stunning water feature, a hair salon and nail bar, a cinema room, a reminiscent room, multiple lounge areas and a day care suite.
Whether the room overlooks our central garden, or the train track, the location of the home combined with a wonderful design that was three years in the making, ensures that each bedroom has a wonderful and stimulating view. Each room has an ensuite bathroom complete with shower, basin and WC and the entire building has a sprinkler system for maximum safety. No resident has ever died in a care home with a sprinkler system.
The home will be staffed by a specialised team comprising a blend of mentally trained nurses and generally trained nurses to cope with both the physical and mental challenges presented by residents with dementia. Our aim will always be to keep medication to a minimum and to promote maximum independence.
We are located next door to the brand new health centre in St. George, Weston-Super-Mare. We are nearby to local primary and secondary schools and we will be developing links with both as well as the local community in general. We have a function room that we will make available to the local community, free of charge, for charity meetings and community focussed events.
Annabel Court is located just 2 minutes from junction 21 of the M5 and is located on a bus route with the train station just a three minute walk away ensuring that relatives can easily visit. We have 32 parking spaces and we’re situated on bus links and near the railway station. Our location is incredibly close to Clevedon, Portishead and Bristol.
St Georges Nursing Home will be offering permanent care, respite care and day care.
