Here at St Georges, the health of our staff, residents and visitors is of paramount importance. As part of the Allegra Care group, St George Nursing Home operates the very highest safety procedures with regard to Covid-19, in line with the latest Government and Public Health England guidance.

With an advanced steril system eliminating airborne bacteria and viruses, our strictly applied safety protocols include:

  • Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Weekly swab testing for all of our staff
  • Daily temperature checking
  • Social distancing
  • Enhanced and rigorous cleaning
  • Covid-19 training for all staff

These are supported by a range of other facilities, including a dedicated settling-in household for new residents before moving to their longer-term rooms and our garden gazebo for social distanced visits during warmer weather. At other times, our partition pods enable visitors to see loved ones safely, without entering the household, and residents have also greatly appreciated the provision of tablet devices for Facetime and Zoom calls.

We request that all visits to the home are arranged in advance, with a limited number of visits per day to allow time for thorough cleaning between each visit. Upon arrival, all visitors are asked to complete a health declaration and have their temperature taken, as well as being asked to comply with other infection control measures, including PPE and hand washing. Please be assured that we will continue to work with you to accommodate non-routine and end-of-life visits.

If you are feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms, please do not visit.

Thank you for cooperating with us at this time. By working together, we can continue to ensure the ongoing health and safety of everyone here at St Georges Nursing Home.
